The background running of the group is a major factor in the success of any group, at the 7th the Group Executive Committee is made up with people who can shape the group and lay the foundations for the future of the young people in Gosport, we meet 6 to 7 times a year and more members are always welcome.
Adult volunteers are at the heart of Scouting, and we hope that you will get every bit as much out of it as you put in. Scouting is not only about young people, but also about the development of adults within the Movement.
To support adults in Scouting, the Association provides a comprehensive programme of training to build on existing skills and knowledge and develop new competencies. Some elements of training can count towards externally-recognised qualifications, and within the movement there are also awards to recognise dedication to training and outstanding service
Young Leaders are 14 to 18-year-olds who work in partnership with the adult leadership team of the Beaver, Cub and Scout sections to deliver the programme.
They are provided with regular training and support from the district including Modules and Missions to become a very capable Young Leader.
The combination of section volunteering and training can count towards sections of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Scouting Awards like the Kings Scout Award
Could you help with HQ repairs, painting or lawn cutting?
